3D Printed Replacement Parts — Fix It Instead of Replacing It

When one small plastic part breaks — a knob, a clip, a hinge piece — the whole appliance or piece of furniture often still works fine. I design and 3D print custom replacement parts to match what’s broken or missing, made in PLA or PETG in Finland and shipped across the EU.

What can be replaced?

If a part is plastic, non-structural, and not part of an electrical or safety system, there’s a good chance it can be reprinted. Common requests include:

  • Appliance knobs & dials — for ovens, washing machines, dryers and other kitchen or utility appliances.
  • Furniture fittings, cam locks & shelf pegs — the small connectors that go missing in a move and leave furniture unusable.
  • Curtain rings, hooks & blind parts — small clips and rings that snap with everyday use.
  • Drawer stops, runners & guide clips — worn parts that make a drawer jam or fall out.
  • Remote control & battery covers — lost covers that let batteries fall out.
  • Cabinet latches & light hinge parts — small catches that keep doors closed.
  • Eyewear parts — temple tips and nose-pad holders that go missing or wear out.
  • Knobs & dials for older radios and electronics — for restoring retro tech (housing and cosmetic parts only).

A growing, sensible choice across the EU

Repairing instead of replacing is becoming the norm across Europe, and independent, 3D printed replacement parts are increasingly recognised as part of that — as long as they’re safe and don’t involve anyone else’s trademark. A printed clip or knob is often far cheaper and faster than tracking down an original part that’s no longer sold.

What I need from you

The more I can see and measure, the better the fit. Send a clear photo of the broken or missing part (next to a ruler or coin for scale), the brand and model if you know it, and ideally the broken original if you can post it — for symmetrical parts, even half of the original is often enough.

What’s not covered

For safety, I don’t make structural, load-bearing, electrical-safety, or vehicle parts that affect driving, braking, steering or the engine — see what I print and what I don’t. Frequently asked questions

Can you make a replacement part if I don’t have the model number?

Often yes. A clear photo with measurements (or the broken part itself) is usually enough — brand and model help but aren’t always needed.

What materials are used for replacement parts?

PLA or PETG, chosen based on where the part will be used. PETG is recommended for parts exposed to heat, sunlight, or more flexing.

How long does a custom replacement part take?

Most orders ship within 3–7 working days after you approve the preview and quote.

What kinds of parts can’t be replaced this way?

Structural, load-bearing, electrical-safety, and vehicle parts affecting driving, braking or steering are not made, for safety reasons.

How do I start?

Use the custom request form and send a photo, measurements, and a short description of what broke.
